What is G3 filter? The most economical HVAC filters are consisted of spun fiberglass. Spun fiberglass filters can filter only larger sized particulates to be changed at least once a month. Spun fiberglass filters not only are less expensive than disposable pleated HVAC filters but also more effective at cancelling air grains due to the greater surface area created by the pleats. Pleated filters do not need to be taken place of as often as spun fiberglass air filters do. In addition, electrostatic filters are much better at capturing small and large particulates than either disposable spun fiberglass or pleated G4 filter. As air passes through, a static charge is created. And

both smaller and larger sized particulates are attracted and held. Electrostatic Filters are typically reusable and need to be washed regularly to stay effective. They are also more expensive than disposable filters.

To know what HVAC filter is, you'd better know the working principle of it. Whether offering air conditioning or heating, the work of an HVAC system is to draw air into it, heat or cool the air and then force the air out into the areas which requires heating or cooling through a series of ducts.
